Philosophy

Since established in 1913, The Royal George Hotel in Winnipeg has been a community meeting place of choice for generations of Transcona residents. In the last 9 years, under new ownership, the atmosphere has been expanded and improved to include the promotion the development of Winnipeg’s live music scene.  With more live music seven days a week, The Royal George Hotel is Winnipeg's favorite HOT music venue!

Amenities

Although some would say the interior décor of the Hotel is entertainment in itself, The Royal George offers live entertainment 7 nights a week, 15 Video Lottery Terminals (VLT’s) in our comfortable gaming room, a 50 seat patio deck, dance floor, pool tables, shuffleboard, darts and numerous video games along with 4 televisions to watch your favorite sporting event . We offer full a service licensed restaurant with seating for 40 or convenient home delivery. Classified as a residential hotel, we are home to  22 tenants.

Anyone who has visited The Royal George Hotel has experienced our “Wall of History”. Included on “The Wall” are photos depicting the history of old downtown Transcona and The Royal George Hotel dating back as far as 1915. We are very proud of our collection and wish to promote and expand “The Wall”.
